Mobile App

Plantrunner has a native mobile app for iOS and Android, built with Capacitor. The mobile app gives field technicians everything they need to service their routes from their phone.

What the mobile app provides​

  • Today's route -- See which locations to visit today
  • Check-in / check-out -- One-tap arrival and departure tracking
  • Service tasks -- Log completed tasks at each location
  • Plant health -- View and update plant health status
  • Photos -- Capture photos during visits
  • Notes -- Record observations and issues
  • Offline mode -- Service visits and timesheets work offline (data syncs when back online)
  • Push notifications -- Receive service reminders and alerts

Who uses the mobile app​

The mobile app is designed primarily for field technicians (employees with the employee role). Admins can also use it, though they'll typically prefer the full web dashboard for management tasks.

Web vs. mobile​

The mobile app runs the same Plantrunner web application inside a native wrapper. This means:

  • All features available on the web are available on mobile
  • The UI adapts to smaller screens
  • Native features (camera, push notifications, haptic feedback) are available on mobile
