Pay Periods

Pay periods define the time windows during which employees log their hours. They provide the structure for timesheet management and payroll processing.

Plan Required

Pay periods require the Team plan or higher.

Pay Periods page

The main Pay Periods page shows a table with:

  • Period type (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly)
  • Start date
  • End date
  • Status (open, closed, paid)
  • Actions (view timesheets, export, edit, delete)

Pay period statuses

StatusMeaning
OpenAccepting timesheet entries from employees
ClosedNo more entries accepted. Ready for payroll processing
PaidPayroll has been processed for this period

Period types
