Service Visit Photos
Technicians can take and upload photos during service visits to document their work, record plant conditions, or flag issues for follow-up.
Taking photos
During an active visit (after checking in):
- Click the Add Photo button
- On mobile devices, this opens the camera or photo library
- On desktop, this opens a file picker
- Select or capture the photo
- The photo is uploaded and attached to the visit
Multiple photos can be attached to a single visit.
Viewing photos
Photos appear on the service visit detail page. Click any photo to view it at full size.
Photo use cases
- Before and after -- Document plant condition before and after service
- Issues -- Photograph pest damage, disease symptoms, or environmental problems
- New installations -- Record the initial placement of new plants
- Customer requests -- Capture whiteboard notes or written instructions from the customer
Offline handling
Photos taken while offline are stored locally on the device and queued for upload. When the device reconnects to the internet, photos are automatically uploaded and attached to their visits. See Offline Mode.
Storage
Photos are stored in Plantrunner's backend and associated with the specific service visit record. They are accessible to anyone with permission to view the visit.
